Recruitment

History

On March 17, 1917, five courageous women attending New York University School of Law could not find a membership accepting of all backgrounds. To combat this, they formed Delta Phi Epsilon with the purpose of accepting all races and religions–one of the first non-sectarian, social sororities to do so.

Today, we have grown into a thriving organization with over 67,000 initiated members in 107 active chapters located across the United States and Canada, with our headquarters located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

DPhiE is one of eleven sororities apart of the National Panhellanic association at the University of Pittsburgh. We participate in formal recruitment in the spring semester (and occasionally informal recruitment in the fall semester). Please check our facebook or instagram or the Greek Office in the Union to find out if we are participating in informal recruitment during the fall.
